kolors film premiere
It seems we're a bit late to jump on the coloured denim bandwagon but our obsession with the much loved Balmain red leather pants seen here has stemmed more to pure lust for an array of candy coloured denim to soften our strides. Isabel Marant started the rebirth of the coloured pants when she sent red pants down the runway last season and it seems to have sparked a streetstyle movement.

Block coloured denim might be a lust have recently but it is definitely nothing new. Ksubi are set to relaunch their uber popular coloured denim range (first seen in 2004) in just over a week under the new Ksubi Kolors Collection!
Bambi Northwood-Blythe, Cisco Gorrow and Heidi Harrington-Johnson (the WAG's of Ksubi) will star in the short promo film directed by Daniel Askill set to be released on the 05.05.11 alongside their retail release at General Pants, David Jones and Ksubi. I don't know about you but we've got our eyes set on yellow!

Freshly dug out of the depths of the R&H wardrobes are these beauties. Purchased back in the days when Ksubi started with a T, these were a staple of our 14 year-old selves.

Queen Aurelia

Bambi Northwood-Blyth by Bec Parsons for Oyster #92

Came across this Oyster cover shoot whist looking for inspiration for RAFW outfit options and a certain photo stood out from the rest. The last photo involving the fishy shirt took our breath away. The skirt in focus is from the 'Cruel Summer' collection of young Sydney designer Emma Mulholland.

Emma is to release a short film of her new collection following the TAFE New Innovators show next week at RAFW. Mulholland says that the show will follow “an evolution of the athletic, surfwear-inspired aesthetic present in my first collection." The new collection will incorporate “Balinese friendship bracelets and Aztec prints will be incorporated, plus references to the unique and rich cultures of the Samburu tribe of Africa and the people of Papua New Guinea”, as opposed to the last collection being based around sea creatures.

Here is the short film, Queen Aurelia. Hope you like it as much as we do.

LOVE these Tribal Spike Chain Earrings by Pamela Love. Available in Antique Bronze & Silver from a selection at Bona Drag Boutique..

so many rocks up in my watch i don't know what the time is.

Why reduce your creativity and restrict yourself to wearing only a watch?
While a watch has the potential to make a statement on its own, that statement can be made that much more influential by layering other watches, bangles or bracelets either side.

Dion Lee II

Dion Lee Line II Lookbook

By far the most inspirational images we have seen in a long time! It's photo shoots like these that will ensure our love for fashion outlasts religion ..

Dion Lee's tailoring-focused side project Line II shot by Bec Parsons using no less than 19 models is utterly phenomenal. Another reason why Dion is continually proving himself as a fine designer emerging from Australia.

The focus of the collection was to pair these pieces with his mainline pieces & we want every single one of them!

Calling all RAFW goers..

It’s almost that time of year again.
The official schedule was finally released this week for
 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week
Cue the Australian fash pack with their bronzed limbs and 6-inch heels pounding the pavement around Circular Quay. The week is going to be a fun filled one with many sightings of the insanely spruced up girls of the Australian magazine industry, fashion forward celebrities and fellow bloggers.

The best part about fashion week is seeing the Australian talent killing it on the world stage!

Z to the ARA

We cannot contain our excitement over the fact that

is opening its first ever store in Australia in TWO days!!

The Spanish fashion powerhouse will be settling into the new $1.2B development that is Westfield Pitt St.
With a specially designed range for the Southern Hemisphere market, we will be spoilt for choice in the store that boasts over 1,400 square meters of shopping wonderland.
After first landing eyes on this store in France at the tender age of 15, Zara has held a special spot in our fashionista hearts. Now, its presence in our home town of Sydney, it is sure to spark a new era (and hopefully start a trend for our other fave overseas brands that are yet to grace our shores)

Be sure to get to the new ZARA Pitt St and check it out.

Young HOLLYWOOD toasts the Olsen twins textile launch.

Mary-Kate and Ashley held a party to celebrate their new textile line Elizabeth and James. Both wearing pieces from the line they were joined at the Beverly Hills Hotel by Nicole Richie, Emma Roberts & Abby Brothers among many others.

The child stars turned respected designers are nominees for the Swarovski Womenswear Designer of the Year prize at the CFDA Awards in New York. Their Fall '11 Textile collection is not so much just about denim but everything that goes with denim and we absolutely love it!

Fine Lines

Let's just wander off topic for two minutes...

...and have a quick look at how COOL these photos are.
Natsumi Hayashi is Japanese, lives in Tokyo and takes photos of herself levitating in everyday situations.
What an incredible idea. These photos are effortlessly awesome.

LOVING the gumboots as well. We need some for winter.

Zimmermann Cruise Swim 11'

We have recently fallen head-over-heels in love with the legend that is Roger Deckker after he shot the most recent Zimmermann Cruise 11' campaign.

The images speak for themselves, shot against the natural elements of the Australian landscape - rock, sand, sea and sky. Having the privilege of seeing this collection in the flesh at the Zimmermann show room we urge you to check the pieces out for yourselves. There is no wonder why Zimmermann has become such an iconic Australian label.
