Bubble

Source: Northern Lights

Susie's bubble doesn't look like its even close to bursting.
.. & who could forget that we got to meet her as she posed for us back in May at Australian Fashion Week. Always pushing the fashion boundaries, but nevertheless flawless in her mix-up of bold prints, paisley and Phillip Lim bag, the girl's still killin' it.
We all know 'tis the season for mixing bold prints with.. you guessed it, more bold prints, if we have taught you anything it should be exactly that! Just to back us up Stella McCartney SS12' showed us exactly how it's done with a paisley overload.. Maybe a bit too much, we're still not sure?

So to help you out we created our own take on this new found love for mix print + paisley dressing. What's important here is that you give it a try & make it your own just like Miss Bubble.. of course its optional but we highly recommend you have a go!
Good luck kid.

birthday punches

So I guess I should start by saying that today I am in fact the birthday gal, and given the freedom of doing what ever it is I like on the celebration of my day of birth I am going to flip the switch & write my very first personal Rose&Ham post. Mostly I’m just going to dedicate this post to the nine inspirational women you see above, including my partner in crime/getaway car driver/co-blogger Tessa (aka Ham).

To avoid feeling overly depressed about my growing of age I invited over my nearest and dearest yesterday to share a day of cocktails, laughs & (questionable) food. Sometimes I wonder if fate had dealt me a different hand what my life would be like without the likes of everyone of them. I’m sure these crazy kids would be just as talented and successful without me but would I be the same without them?

Lets make an imaginary toast to my favourite ladies & my true loves, thanks for making the day one to remember.

Just when you thought we had finished writing about LV at Paris Fashion Week this year..
BAM!
This baby pops up on our radar!
OBsessed with the whole carousel thing. Mark Jacobs outdid himself here.
The things we would have done to be able to attend this extravaganza are most certainly questionable.

BON APPETIT

Obsessing over this tongue-in-cheek MOSCHINO-esque logo belt from Friend of Mine.

We're definitely penciling this onto the top of our shopping list because, really, what girl doesn't love a totally unnecessary statement belt..

& why shouldn't our hips have a little fun?

Karl Largerfeld once again left us in a state of awe after his SS '12 Collection at Paris Fashion Week.. Transforming the Grand Palais into a white aquarium could not have been an easy task.

Although Karl probably didn't expect to be sharing the nautical mix up theme with Versace, Holly Fulton, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood Red Label who all created their own mythical sea stories for SS 12 collections.

There was no escaping the underwater theme, not that we're complaining though.. Could it get any better than walking life size mermaids amid a world of over sized white seahorses, bubbles and coral.. I doubt it.

A very enjoyable season for pure escapism..

Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer '12 show at Paris Fashion Week was on epic proportions. Like the fair, but in a dream. The white merry-go-round horses, pastel palette and subtle lady-like lines gave us enough of a taste to be jumping out of our skin for next season. Kudos to The Sartorialist who never fails to bring us some of the most mindblowingly awesome photos.. every time!

Les Tuileries

Les Tuileries have been used for many a purpose throughout the centuries, though we think that one of its best functions is to host the fashion forward attending fashion week. It serves as the perfect background to some of our fave street style photographs at Paris Fashion Week every year, and nonetheless this year's fash pack.
All the colours and textures on trend this season are making our mouths water. Inspired? Yes.
